On a Saturday morning in Rocklin, the rising sun casts an orange glow over a freshly watered soccer field. While most people are still recovering from a long week at work, a group of 30 men in full exercise gear are walking on the grass for a series of heart palpitations. The goal is the same for everyone: to become stronger as a man, husband and father. “I started going to F3 in the Bay Area, and when my family and I decided to move to the Sacramento area, I knew I was going to bring them,” said Matt Ryburn. Here he’s best known by the nickname ’88, a kind blow to his love for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The three Fs stand for fitness, faith and community. Fitness comes from the grueling, hour-long workout offered daily and designed and directed by members in turns. “When I started F3, my energy level went up. I’m in good shape. I can’t even tell you how good I am,” said Harjut Singh Pannu. Pannu lives in New Jersey and is an F3 member at home During a summer visit to visit his family in California, he made sure he got in touch with a crew from the opposite coast. “Fellowship is a big part of culture. We’re all brothers,” he said. For Gabe Camacho is F3 an opportunity to connect with other men who are facing the same challenges in life as him. “Fitness brings us here. It’s the fellowship that keeps us coming back,” said Camacho. F3 is not a church group. The belief component means a trifle to everyone who comes. It is rooted in the shared belief that YOU are NOT the center of the universe. The past 18 months have shown that life is often a rocky road, to go alone. Sometimes it takes a community to move you forward. For Ryburn and the rest of the world, F3 Goldrush fills this void, one daily workout at a time. “We’re just out here as men. No matter who we are, we’re all welcome.” Click here for more information on F3 and how to feel can get involved.

Fitness comes from the strenuous, hour-long workout that is offered daily and is designed and directed by the members in turns.

“When I started at F3, my energy level went up. I’m in good shape. I can’t even tell you how good I am,” said Harjut Singh Pannu.

Pannu lives in New Jersey and is an F3 member at home. During a summer visit to visit his family in California, he made sure he was in contact with a crew from the opposite coast.

“Community is a big part of culture. We are all brothers,” he said.

For Gabe Camacho, F3 is an opportunity to connect with other men who are facing the same challenges in life as him.

“Fitness brings us here. It’s the community that keeps us coming back,” Camacho said.

F3 is not a church group. The belief component means a trifle to everyone who comes. It is rooted in a shared belief that YOU are NOT the center of the universe.

The last 18 months have shown that life alone is often a rocky road. Sometimes it takes a community to move you forward.

For Ryburn and the others, F3 Goldrush fills this gap, one daily workout at a time.

“We’re not out here as a leader in the corporate world or as a person who works on a day-to-day basis. We’re only out here as men. No matter who we are, we are all welcome. “
