CHARLOTTE – The great thing about essential oils is that they are natural. Obtained from flowers, leaves, bark or roots of plants, contain many properties that can provide much-needed relief from anxiety.

Here are just a few of my favorites;

lavender– Considered the most common essential oil; Benefits are a calming, relaxing effect.

rose-Very calming for the emotional heart and perhaps the second most popular after lavender for anxiety relief.

Vetiver-A calming, grounding oil with calming energy.

Yang Ylang |-This oil is ideal for anxiety because of its calming and uplifting effects.

Bergamot- Commonly found in Earl Gray tea, it is calming and has a distinctive floral taste and aroma.

chamomile-Comile, a peaceful, calming scent, promotes inner harmony and reduces irritability, over-thinking, anxiety and worry.

incense-Great for anxiety as it provides calming and calm energy as well as spiritual grounding.

Essential oils can be used in a number of different ways, but my two favorites are aromatic and topical.

An aromatic triggers our sense of smell. It can be obtained through application in a bath, as a direct inhalation, eau de cologne, or through aromatherapy diffusers.

Topical applications of essential oils can be achieved with a diluted mixture of carrier oil and essential oils, which are then applied directly to the affected area, on the soles of the feet, in baths, or by massage.

Precautions; Never ingest essential oils or apply them undiluted to the skin without proper training or medical supervision.

Always consult a specialist and proceed with caution as they may react differently to different people, especially children and pregnant women.
