There are currently about 10,000 children with type 1 diabetes in BC, and many of these families cannot afford the cost of a continuous glucose monitor (CGM). As part of its Employee Giving Campaign, Ledcor Group announced a Canadian donation of $ 1.2 million to support CGMs. Katherine Coutinho, Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Ledcor Group, discusses how a portion of this donation will enable Variety BC to help children with Type 1 diabetes who need these life-changing devices.
