All three Russian COVID-19 vaccines are suitable for people with diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. However, the final decision rests with the attending physician, said Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko.
“Of course, this should definitely be recommended, and health professionals recommend doing it quickly because, as we said, people in this category have the most serious symptoms and patients with cardiovascular disease, especially those with diabetes,” he said said.
According to him, the vaccines will essentially be a life-saving factor and keep them from looming complications.
“The attending physician, who consults a patient before vaccination, decides why a special form should be filled out. Overall, all three can be used, there may be some specific factors, and at the end of the day the doctor should decide, “he said.
Murashko recalled that the Sputnik V and Epivaccorona vaccines are currently available in Russia.
“We assume Covivac is now in civil traffic,” he said, adding that the first two vaccines are available to all Russians over the age of 18 and research into Covivac in people over 60 is ongoing. “
