Chris Hemsworth prepares for the sequel to his film Extraction in 2020. And the preparation process also includes building his body. The 38-year-old actor recently took us through the intense exercise routine he followed to get back in shape for the movie.
“Moving from heavy-weight training to much more functional, body-weight movements that focus on flexibility, strength and speed,” Chris wrote on Instagram alongside a video doing a series of strength building exercises. The training program included:
* Three-minute boxing round (cardio)
* 50 squats (lower body)
* 40 sit-throughs (mobility)
* 20 repetitions for each (core) exercise
* 25 pushups (upper body)
* Rest for two minutes, four sentences in total

The Thor actor also completed occlusion training with Ross Edgley. In a video he shared earlier, the actor has a belt strapped around his arms that has his veins popping out. This involves the process of restricting blood flow and oxygen, forcing the muscles to work harder in less time. It helps exercise the biceps and the body’s ability to tolerate lactic acid.
Chris undoubtedly sets serious fitness goals for everyone.
