Well being Advantages of Important Oils

CHARLOTTE – Using essential oils is considered to be one of the healthiest ways to experience the benefits of a wide variety of plants and herbs … but are they always safe to use?

We have been using all natural plant extracts and oils for thousands of years. Today the essential oils industry is valued at an impressive $ 17 billion. Clinical studies show that essential oils can play a huge role in managing health problems such as blood sugar, immune deficiency, joint pain, depression, and anxiety.

Here are 3 risky mistakes to avoid while using essential oils:

1. Use your favorite oils to your heart’s content; Plants are powerful – and when they are concentrated, they are even stronger! In fact, some essential oils are not safe to use topically, and all oils must be used according to safety guidelines to avoid toxic reactions.

Using oils like cinnamon, thyme, or oregano on your skin can cause irritation. Because of this, before using an essential oil recipe, you need to know exactly how much of each oil is safe or you will endanger your health – and that of your family.

2. Believe the lies on your label; Labels claiming that your oils are “organic,” “pure”, or “therapeutic” should not be accepted as fact. Unfortunately, even expensive essential oils marketed as “high quality” options are still exposed to harmful pesticides and other chemicals.

3. Carrying away without carrier oils; Carrier oils are literally an oil, like coconut oil or olive oil, that “carries” the essential oil into your body. They dilute the essential oil so that it can be safely applied topically. Without it, you risk irritating your skin.

Any of these mistakes can quickly turn this age-old, health-promoting practice into a major health hazard … but the truth is, using essential oils can eliminate hundreds of toxins from your life if used properly.
