Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown was put under pressure about Joe Biden’s fitness after the US president made a number of public mistakes. Mr Biden seemed to forget the name of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison during the Aukus press conference last week and referred to him as the “Fella Down Under”. Asked about Good Morning Britain the former Labor leader argued about Mr Biden’s cognitive abilities: “WWhat you see is what you get. “

Mr. Brown told GMB, “I know Joe Biden, I’ve worked with Joe Biden. I’ve met him on many occasions.

“I went to Latin America with him to solve the financial crisis.

“Look, George Bush has been criticized for forgetting names and getting people’s names wrong. Donald Trump was also criticized for it.

“I think the most important thing for Joe Biden is that he wants to get things done.”

He added, “Joe Biden is a good man, what you see is what you get.”
