Halo fitness band from Amazon is a wearable that tracks everything from your movements and sleep patterns to your body fat and tone of voice. The Halo also records your live heart rate – and starting Thursday you can share this live heart rate data with supported apps and third-party devices, including fitness equipment from NordicTrack, Openfit and Clmbr.

Connections like these should allow you to view your live heart rate on an assisted device while you are exercising, or track your heart rate over time on an assisted fitness app. This is another step in expanding the versatility of the Halo; Amazon added earlier this summer a new motion tracker with a mobile phone camera designed to analyze your flexibility.

To enable heart rate sharing, open the Halo app on your Android or iOS device, go to Settings> Heart Rate Sharing, and toggle heart rate setting on while wearing the Halo.
