Parineeti Chopra has come a long way on her fitness journey and you can experience that for yourself on her Instagram. Your journey is real and inspiring and one that will make you take fitness seriously. She’s very vocal about the gym not being too fun, but has also managed to create a self-care routine that works for her. Here are a few fitness lessons you can learn from the star.

1) Always strive for a glow from the inside out

She may not be a fan of going to the gym, but she is one who keeps her fitness routine on track to keep her healthy. “It is important to me that my fitness program is a mixture of everything. I usually go on the treadmill, go swimming, or just practice kalaripayattu, a martial art from Kerala. The key is to stay active, to experiment with new forms, to create a balance and to find the motivation to exercise regularly, ”she shared in 2015. This is how you leave skin rosy and radiant.

2) Start your day with some yoga

Even a 15-minute yoga session in the morning can prepare you for a stress-free and happy day. Chopra is proof of that. “Yoga mornings with my girl guru (Aashna Pritmani) are my drug! Addicted to stretching, deep breathing and happy thoughts, ”she shared in a recent Instagram post where she can be exercised from home.

3) Introduce an outdoor walk into your regime

For days when you want to take it easy, Chopra recommends leaving the gym. There isn’t a rule that says you have to go to the gym every day. Instead, studies show that you and your body should take a break from time to time. On days like these, Chopra loves to take a stroll outdoors. Fast walking is a great way to maintain consistency and it also helps with building energy and stamina.

4) Add strength training to your exercise routine

Always ready for a challenge, Chopra loves a mix of workouts in her routine. She recently changed her cardio routine to include weight training. In a video shared on Instagram, the actress can be seen doing hard work working on form and building resistance. Strength training is known to increase your muscle strength and improve flexibility

5) Turn your hobby into a workout

Chopra learned badminton while training for her film “Sania” and seems to have found a fondness for the sport. On days when she is too exhausted to exercise, she resorts to badminton for physical activity. Studies have also shown that you can get the same benefits from any sport as from running or jogging.
