Exactly six months to the day after the doors opened, Balance Nutrition in Marshfield celebrated the occasion with an official ribbon severance and celebrated with members of the community and other local business owners.
“Everyone was so supportive and great,” said owner Jaime Martino. “I love Marshfield.”
Balance Nutrition on 3 Proprietor’s Drive, just off Route 139, offers protein shakes, herbal teas, protein coffees, and protein canapés.
“It was a slow start, but now that the weather is nicer and everyone is finding out we’re back, it’s picking up speed,” said Martino. “I feel like word of mouth is spreading a bit.”
Martino said she looked at several possible locations before settling in her commercial building, which was built by her father, brother and uncle. She said the interior reflects her personal style: modern, colorful, comfortable and fun.
Most customers’ standard order, $ 10, includes both a tea and a shake, available in multiple flavors, all of Herbalife’s products.
“The tea boosts your metabolism and burns calories while you drink it,” said Martino. “It prepares your body for all of the proteins and nutrients in the shake, which is also a full, balanced meal.”
Martino said her favorite item on the menu is the protein coffee, iced coffee with 15 grams of protein and no sugar.
“If you’re looking for a great meal replacement that will get your immune system up and down, we have that sort of thing, too,” Martino said. “There is something for everybody.”
