Bismarck Public Faculties launches new vitamin program

When it comes to proper nutrition for students, Bismarck schools Try something new.

The Lunch Box Buddy program gives children who bring their own lunch from home the choice to add more to their meal.

Students can choose from three items such as vegetables, milk, cereals, fruit or dessert at no extra charge.

“We know our main courses won’t please everyone’s palate, so we know the kids will bring lunch from home and we just want to be able to help the parents,” said Michelle Wagner. the BPS child head of the nutrition program.

The Lunch Box Buddy program is federally funded by the USDA and lasts the entire school year.
