Herbalife Diet launches first International Accountability Report

Herbalife Nutrition, a leading global nutrition company, today released its first 2020 Global Responsibility Report. The report highlights the company’s commitment to enabling progress and sustainable growth in communities worldwide and outlines a commitment to acting in a socially responsible manner, including supporting social, environmental and philanthropic initiatives that produce significant and measurable results in feeding people and achieve the planet.

To provide even more focus on Herbalife Nutrition’s impact on communities, economic opportunity and the planet, the report includes and demonstrates Herbalife Nutrition’s promise to achieve 50 million positive impacts by 2030, the company’s 50th anniversary the more than 3.8 million positive impacts achieved in 2020, including but not limited to the following:

* Partnered with the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF*) to donate more than 975,000 meals and meal subsidy boxes to families and communities

* Recycling over 766,000 kilograms of packaging and other materials

* Together with HNF, reach more than 367,000 beneficiaries through nonprofit partnerships

For more than 40 years, the global nutrition company has focused on improving communities, from helping people improve their diets with science-backed products to delivering economic opportunity through its direct-to-consumer business model. Given the company’s expertise, scale, network, and global reach, its corporate social responsibility initiatives leverage these strengths to improve communities in three key areas: enabling better access to food, improving access to economic opportunity, and Strengthening of environmental protection. In order to achieve the greatest possible impact, the company has aligned its global responsibility goals with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The 2020 report focuses on Herbalife Nutrition’s core principles of nurturing healthy communities, fostering economic opportunity, and fostering a thriving planet through initiatives including:

* Fighting global food justice: Through the Nutrition for Zero Hunger initiative, the company is committed to ending world hunger and food insecurity by:

* Eliminate inequalities in nutrition, health and hunger in communities around the world

* Providing critical resources and nutritional expertise through global non-profit partners

* Partnering with leading global organizations such as World Food Program USA, Feed the Children and The Hunger Project, relying on their guidance on where resources are most needed in the diverse communities they serve

* Strengthen entrepreneurship: The company’s experience in supporting independent distributors worldwide can be applied to support programs around the world as follows:

Providing a meaningful economic opportunity for individuals who wish to earn or supplement their income through their direct selling business model

Leveraging his expertise and supporting organizations that have programs worldwide to advance economic empowerment for underrepresented communities and encourage entrepreneurship

* Promoting diversity, equity and inclusion: As a global company operating in 95 markets, the company recognizes diversity as a strength. The company ensures that the workplace promotes diversity, equity and inclusion, including through:

* Setting goals to strengthen environmental responsibility: The company is committed to reducing and eliminating negative environmental impacts across its operations and supply chain, with a focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and sustainable packaging. Some of these goals include:

* Achieve carbon neutral emissions in the company’s global factories, warehouses and offices by 2050

* Use of 25% post-consumer resin (PCR) in the company’s Formula 1 packaging over the next two years worldwide in markets where permitted, saving more than 475 tons of virgin plastic

* Reduce use of plastics and eliminate waste wherever possible, including eliminating plastic bags from sales and distribution centers worldwide
