Kent Thornburg, PhD, is the M. Lowell Edwards Chair in Cardiology and Professor of Medicine at the Knight Cardiovascular Institute at Oregon Health & Science University. He directs the Center for Developmental Health and the OHSU Bob and Charlee Moore Institute for Nutrition and Wellness. He studies nutrition during pregnancy and the resulting cardiovascular diseases in offspring. He recently received the Agnes Higgins Award from the National March of Dimes and the Barker Medal from the International Society for Developmental Origins of Health and Disease.
