CLEVELAND – Cleveland Brown cornerback Denzel Ward has worked with his Make Them Know Your Name foundation for years to promote heart health. His work was recognized by the team in its nomination for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Now he’s planning a new event to further spread his message about health and wellness.
During this February NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, the Ward Foundation is hosting a fitness expo to give Northeast Ohioans and tourists attending the All-Star Celebration the opportunity Giving To Focus On Your Health And Wellbeing During The Cleveland All -Star Fitness Expo.
The fitness expo offers numerous workout classes, including a yoga session and a cardio boxing session, but also unique entertainment including musical performances, dance battles, vendor shopping, and celebrity appearances.
During the fair, prizes will be raffled and numerous dishes will be offered.
The Cleveland All-Star Fitness Expo takes place on Saturday, February 19th at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The gates to the Expo will open at 8 a.m., the morning for fitness and fun starts at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.
There are several ticket options available for the Fitness Expo. Advance tickets start at $ 30 for general admission. Celebrity access tickets are $ 75 and include a signed photo or $ 100 and a picture with a featured celebrity.
A list of the celebrity guests will be announced at a later date.
The Make Them Know Your Name Foundation – founded by Denzel Ward, his mother Nicole Ward, and brother Paul Ward III – provides education, training, and resources to teach people how to respond to a cardiac episode, and provides AED and CPR Kits available at local schools and gyms. The foundation honors Denzel Ward’s father, who unexpectedly died of cardiac arrest in 2016.
