Two local women host a free workshop to show how health, wellness and wealth are linked.

Alisha Stewart, owner of Right Track Nutrition in Amherst and a certified health coach, will speak on June 25th with Jeri Leigh Siss, an independent financial agent for Primerica Financial Services, on health and wellness.

Siss said the workshop delves into three critical aspects of improving one’s life, be it financial or health: knowledge, wisdom and action.

“Sometimes things feel so out of reach that we just don’t do anything,” she said. “Our mission is to educate and empower people.”

Siss said the inspiration for the workshop came from realizing that health and finances are the two top stressors for most people.

“Especially now, after COVID, these are the things that people are worried about,” she said.

In addition to learning about health and wellness in general, guests can also develop and implement a plan for success.

The trainers said they will provide empathy and resources as participants set their financial and lifestyle goals.

“As coaches, Alisha and I want to empower people and increase their confidence to believe in themselves, their goals and dreams and take actions that are accessible to them,” said Siss. “We both set a game plan for health and prosperity.”

She said she would encourage people to take a leap in faith.

“We just have to take a step forward and if we do we will gain momentum,” said Siss.

The decision to do the workshop for free is to add value in an already stressful time, she said.

“If we can be a resource and an asset to the community, why shouldn’t we?” asked sister.

The workshop starts at 6:30 p.m. at Right Track Nutrition, 138 Park Ave. in Amherst.

Every participant receives valuable free gifts from the sponsors of the event.

“We want to make your dreams come true,” said Siss. “To have simple things that we can implement every day and create the habits of success for the future that we deserve.”
