Navratri fasting is the perfect opportunity for detoxification and weight loss as there are ample opportunities to add healthy ingredients to our diet. Buckwheat flour (kuttu ka aata), water chestnut flour (Singhare ka Atta), Rajgira ka Atta (amaranth flour), barn millet (samvat ke chwaal) are usually eaten at this time and are not only low in calories, but also loaded with protein, are gluten-free, easy to digest and rich in fiber.

Sabudana, also known as tapioca pearls in addition to carbohydrates, are rich in fiber, protein and calcium and are good for digestion as well as muscle and bone health.

So, if you’re tired of having the same Sabudana Khichdi and Kheer, here’s a low-calorie yummy recipe for a change from nutritionist Preety Tyagi, Lead Health Coach & Founder, My22BMI.
