BERLIN — For business owner Jane M. Grant, March 11 was a celebration of success and hard work as she cut the ribbon at her business, Grant’s Nutrition & Wellness, at 37 Webster Square Road.
Grant has been in business since 2014, and moved into her new location March 1.
A registered dietitian and certified health coach, Grant is excited to share her nutrition expertise with clients and empower them to achieve their goals.
“We are so pleased to see Jane grow her health business here in Berlin,” Economic Development Director Chris Edge said. “She is among a number of similar firms which are here in town to help our residents be healthier and more active.”
Grant earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics, with a minor in biology. After completing her undergraduate work, she studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
“Business has been growing steadily over the years as more and more people learn that we are considered as preventative medicine,” said Grant. “We moved into the new space to support our growth. I plan on bringing in another dietitian.”
Grant’s Nutrition & Wellness offers nutrition counseling, wellness programs, meal planning and more. The business also offers genetic testing, which provides a personal approach to health and wellness, and boasts a Emsculpt Neo, “a body contouring device which helps build muscle and break down fat,” said Grant.
Grant said most insurance policies will cover her services, because if she can help a person get off medications, or prevent them from going on one, that translates to cost savings for insurance companies.
